Motorcycle Safety

Now that it is the weather is getting warmer, flowers are blooming, and motorcycle riders are returning to Pennsylvania roads. PennDOT wants to remind all drivers to share the road with one another. According to PennDOT, more than 30,000 motorcycles were registered in the state last year, along with 15,000 new licensed motorcyclists. PennDOT Deputy Secretary Kurt Myers advises motorists to check blind spots, avoid reckless driving and abide by traffic laws. He says there are also approved motorcycle training courses of varied levels that drivers can take free of charge. For more information, go to pamsp.com.
