PennDot Receives $13.8 Million In Federal Stimulus Funds

PennDot has received $13.8 million in federal stimulus funding for the US 22/30/60 interchange reconstruction project. The project will work to bring the interchange up to interstate highway standards. The reconstruction project is a part of a larger effort to connect Interstate 376 to the interchange. The interchange needs to meet interstate standards otherwise when completed interstate 376 would not qualify for interstate designation. The $13.8 million will fully fund the reconstruction project. Work began at the site in June and is expected to be completed by November 2010.
