Up to 50 teenagers climb the steps into Squirrel Hill's Gay and Lesbian Community Center every Friday night. Many of their parents don't know they're there. Because their parents don't know, or don't approve, of their children's sexual orientation, many of the teenagers couldn't speak with DUQ. But those who could say they're trying, in their own ways, to change people's perceptions about who they are. DUQ's Katherine Fink reports. Listen to the full-length story here.
This story originally aired on WDUQ on June 20, 2003.
