Polls Open till 8 on this Election Day

The polls will be open across Pennsylvania until 8 tonight in this off year election. There are 3 statewide races including a battle for one seat on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court between Republican Joan Orie Melvin and Democrat Jack Panella. They both are members of the Superior Court.
Nine candidates are vying for 4 openings on Superior Court and four candidates are battling for 2 seats on Commonwealth Court.
In the city of Pittsburgh, Democratic Mayor Luke Ravenstahl is seeking a full four year term after serving out the last 3 years of the term of the late Bob O'Connor. Ravenstahl is challenged by 2 independents: Kevin Acklin and Franco "Dok" Harris.
Four City Council seats are up but there's only one contested race. That's in District 8 where incumbent Democrat Bill Peduto, who is seeking a third term, is challenged by Republican Greg Neugebauer.
There are five uncontested races for Pittsburgh School Board.
In Allegheny County, seven candidates are vying for 5 seats on Common Pleas Court and Allegheny County Sheriff Bill Mullen is unopposed for reelection.
There are 7 seats up for election on Allegheny County Council but only 2 are contested: District 1 where Republican Incumbent Matt Drozd is challenged by Democrat Thomas Michalow, and District 4 where Democratic Incumbent Michael Finnerty is challenged by Republican Dean Petrone.
