People traveling on an 86 mile stretch of the Pennsylvania Turnpike between exit Exit 75 (New Stanton interchange) to Exit 161 (Breezewood Interchange) can now drive at normal speed limits. The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has lifted its reduced speed limit for the turnpike as well as a ban on tractor-trailer traffic in all but the right lane.
Wind and drifting snow lead to the restrictions which were implemented to prevent tractor-trailer trucks from rolling over or jack-knifing during wind gusts.
