The North Shore Connector project continues, and expected to be finalized in early 2012 according to the Port Authority of Allegheny County's spokesperson Jim Ritchie.
The project's budget began at $435, but the budget has rose to $528.8 million.
Ritchie admits, "Since the overall "T" extension experienced some inflation area increase early on, basically in the design phase, the construction end of the project has been on budget and on schedule."
This demolition is a small step toward the completion of the 1.2 mile long "T" line under the Allegheny River.
