Financial Education Sought For High School Students

State Senator Larry Farnese is proposing legislation that would give school students financial education in high schools statewide. Farnese says children are able to work and make money so they should also be able to learn how to handle that money in a responsible manner. Farnese says if properly educated while in school when it comes time to take loans and get a credit card then a student will be better prepared to avoid being taken advantage of. Farnese says the program would be run by the Pennsylvania Department of Education so it won't add any undue financial or workload burden on the state.
