Teen Dating Abuse Bill Works Its Way Through State Legislature
State Senator Sean Logan has sponsored legislation that would require school districts throughout the state to implement a policy on teen dating violence. Logan says the legislation was inspired in part by the death of a Gateway High School student at the hands of her boyfriend. Logan says that while legislating parenting is difficult in this case it needs to be done because he sees a lack of knowledge on the issue. Logan's bill is now in committee with a similar bill passing the house yesterday.
