Street Medicine and Psychiatry

Operation Safety Net recently hired a psychiatrist. One night a week, she delivers mental health care to some of the region's poorest people - those who live on the streets. Dr. Michelle Barwell whose career has been rooted in community psychiatry makes street rounds with Dr. Jim Withers and Mike Sallows who started the street medicine team in 1992.
