Shooting Spree at Fitness Center Near Pittsburgh

A shooting at an L.A. Fitness Center in the Pittsburgh area has left at least 4 people dead including the gunman. About 30 women were taking part in a Latin Dance Class at the fitness center in the Great Southern Shopping Center in Collier Township. Witnesses say at about 8:15 p.m. a middle-aged man walked into the aerobics room carrying a duffel bag...pulled out a handgun....turned out the lights and began shooting.
Allegheny County Police Chief Charles Moffat says 3 women were killed and 10 others were wounded. The gunman then apparently killed himself.
The wounded were taken to four Pittsburgh area hospitals with some in critical condition.
Police are not giving a motive for the shootings but it's widely reported that one of the women in the dance class recently broke off a relationship with the gunman.
When news of the incident broke, many Pittsburghers grew concerned because they had difficulty contacting friends and family who were at the fitness center. That's because many of the people at the center, in the gym and other rooms, fled the building leaving behind their cellphones.

Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato called it "unspeakable tragedy".... "Our sincere condolences go out to the families of the victims, and we pray for the recovery of those who were injured."
