City Looking To Collect Delinquent Taxes

Pittsburgh City Council is considering legislation that would put the responsibility of collecting delinquent taxes owed to the city and the School District of Pittsburgh with Jordan Tax Service, Inc. and Goehring, Rutter and Boehm, P.C. City Councilman Peduto says there are millions of dollars in uncollected taxes that are out there but collecting them can be difficult. He added that he would like to see the contract for the hiring of a tax collection company be put out to bid in the future so the city can avoid having one company working to collect all of its delinquent taxes.
