A new specialty docket court opens today in Allegheny County. This one is for veterans.
The court will meet every other week. Judges say there is a need for the court because of the problems they are seeing that are the results of post traumatic stress disorder.
The county has other specialty courts for mental health, drug and alcohol and domestic violence.
It is a product of meetings between judges, the VA, non-profits and The Department of Human Services.
