The first debate is set between the major party candidates seeking to be Pennsylvania's next governor. Campaign aides for Republican Tom Corbett and Democrat Dan Onorato say the nominees plan to attend a debate September 27 at the annual Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry dinner in Hershey. NPR Senior News Analyst Ted Koppel will moderate.
U.S. Senate candidates Joe Sestak and Pat Toomey have been invited to debate at the event but neither has accepted yet.
