Displaced Workers Can Get Free Training

If you are over the age of 50, have lost your job and have been in management before, you would qualify for courses at Community College of Allegheny County at Boyce in Monroeville. As part of their dislocated worker tuition waiver program, they are holding a free course in medical office management. It is designed to help workers gain new skills and find new avenues of employment.

The training is being offered through a grant from the Met Life Foundation and Civic Ventures.

Cassandra Hough, a spokesperson for the college said these programs are the direct result of the downturn in the economy. The courses will begin August 17th.
