The ringtones people use on their cell phones can say something about their personalities, maybe their musical tastes. One artist has created ringtones from the sounds she’s heard around Pittsburgh. And she’s made them available for free online. DUQ’s Katherine Fink spoke with artist T. Foley.Listen to the interview here.

Foley is nearing the end of her ringtone project through the group deeplocal, but she may continue it in other cities. She's planning to travel to Berlin to pursue a separate project, but may record tones while she's there and compare them to what she's found in Pittsburgh.
