Flush Away Says Penn Am Water
Pennsylvania American Water has lifted the mandatory conservation order it put in place yesterday afternoon for all of its customers in Allegheny and Washington Counties. Power has been restored to the treatment plant and tanks are filling. The company says customers can resume using water for showers, dishwashing, flushing, cooking or drinking. However, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection says anyone who has seen a water disruption during the storm should boil any water used for cooking or drinking for at least one minute. The DEP will be testing the water and will lift the boil order when the water is deemed to be same.
