Christian Groups Meet to Develop Religous G20 Events

National and regional religious leaders are meeting in Pittsburgh this today and tomorrow to develop a religious aspect of the upcoming G20 summit. Pastor Donald Green, Executive Director of the Christian Associates of Southwest Pennsylvania, says the meetings are to establish a unified Christian voice. The primary goal in mind is to pray the days approaching the summit that there will be no violence, and that decisions will be made that keep the poor in mind. There are tentative plans to host an interfaith blessing at the Lawrence Convention Center Sept. 20, days before the scheduled summit on Sept. 24 and 25.
