Former State Representative Richard Olasz of West Mifflin has died at age 79. Mr. Olasz fell and injured his head while apparently dodging a foul ball at his grandson's high school baseball game Wednesday. He died last night at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

In 1999, he was elected as an original member of Allegheny County Council but served on that body for only 2 years. He then returned to West Mifflin Borough Council in 2002 and remained till his death.
Visitation will be at Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home in Munhall Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
