Two New City Ordinances Take Effect Today
Two city of Pittsburgh ordinances take effect on December 1st that will serve to both protect landlords and renters. The rental registration ordinance requires all city landlords who rent property to have their property registered and certified up to city code. The disruptive property ordinance requires all properties to be deemed disruptive if there are 3 or more legitimate instances where city public safety officials are called to an address. After a property is deemed disruptive the landlord is responsible for any and all costs incurred by further calls to public safety offices.
