A 7.0 magnitude earthquake has struck the nation of Haiti causing much destruction. Dr. Leon Pamphile Executive Director of the Functional Literacy Ministries of Haiti, based in Pittsburgh, is working with the Brother's Brother Foundation to bring relief to the country. Pamphile says he has received an email from a missionary in Haiti who said there has been much destruction. The quake was centered near Port-au-Prince and has disrupted communications making it difficult to get a clear picture of the extent of the damages. Pamphile says Ministry is working to send people to Haiti soon and that any financial donations will help tremendously. He added that any food or medical supplies would also help.
