8TH Annual Great Outdoors Week Kicks Off

The 8TH annual great outdoors week held their kick off event in market square today. Many groups participated in the event such as venture outdoors, golden triangle bike rental, grass roots racing, trail town program and more. The event is held to promote outdoor activities. There were kayaks, portable rock walls and a one man band present to keep people entertained. Great outdoors week has many activities taking place that are sponsored by many of the groups that were in attendance. Some of the signature events during the 10 day celebration are a learn to row session hosted by the Three Rivers Rowing Association, a Venture Outdoors festival and a dinner to celebrate the conclusion of the celebration hosted by Rachel Carson Homestead.
