Group Formed To Promote Energy Independence
Six CEO's of Pittsburgh based Energy and Technology companies have formed a group called USCEL, or United States Center for Energy Leadership. The goal of the newly formed group is to establish a stable energy environment in the United States that includes energy independence, stable energy pricing, and a portfolio approach to meeting increasing energy needs. The group feels Pittsburgh is an ideal location to serve as the home of the group because of the diverse nature of the region. The three primary goals of the region are to provide expert opinions on public policy issues that deal with energy, promote strategies that accelerate the development, improvement and adaptation of technologies that increase competitiveness in energy markets and to assemble a group of companies that can lead the way in changing the landscape of the energy landscape.
