Concord Hospitality Enterprises is holding their first ever "Share Day" where needy families from the United States and Canada are receiving donations of food. The event is a part of an effort by the international aid group Feed The Children. The program is being held at hotels owned by Concord in Pittsburgh, Columbus, Ohio, West Des Moines, Iowa, Hackensack, N.J., Raleigh, N.C., and Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Locally, Pittsburgh Family Development is receiving the donation of food that will feed 400 area families. Each family will receive two boxes of food and toiletry items. The food is being distributed at several local area hotels that are owned and operated by Concord Hospitality Enteprises. The families receiving the aid have been pre determined by Pittsburgh Family Development according to requests for aid that they received.
