Onorato Announces He Will Travel To Harrisburg To Fight Supreme Court Ruling
Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato announced today that he will be traveling to Harrisburg on Tuesday to meet with State Legislatures to discuss putting a hold on the State Supreme Courts decision that threw out the county's property assessment. Onorato wants the commonwealth to draft a state-wide system of property assessment. Onorato added that on Thursday he will meet with Judge Stanton Wettick to discuss how the county can meet the Supreme Court's order for new assessments. Onorato also said he is looking into possible appeals that can be made to challenge the State Supreme Courts ruling at the Federal level.
