PA Cyber School Becomes First In Nation To Unionize

The teachers at the PA Learners Online cyber charter school have voted to unionize, marking the first time a cyber school has voted to unionize. The Pennsylvania State Education Association will represent the cyber school and assistant communications director Wythe Keever believes the first action the union will take will be to negotiate a new contract. Wythe said the teachers voted for union representation by a vote of 42-14. The PA Learners Online has 76 teachers.
