Enhanced Security After High School Bomb Threat

Security at Elizabeth Forward High School is tight today after a bomb threat was discovered in the boys bathroom Tuesday. The threat said a bomb was going "to blow up the school" on December 2nd. School is in session today, but not without enhanced security. Superintendent Dr. Bart Rocco said that students' bags were checked before entering school this morning, and that students “were very cooperative” with the procedures.

“I talked to several students, they were thankful for our concern,” Rocco said.

According to Rocco, parents and students, while cautious, have been cooperative with the security measures. The school has cancelled all extracurricular events for today, and will “continue to monitor over the coming days.”

Dr. Rocco has asked anyone with information about the threat to call the high school or Elizabeth Township Police.
