The pregnant aerobics instructor wounded in the August Collier gym shooting has sued the estate of the gunman who shot her.
Mary Beth Primis of Moon Township is seeking $175,000 in damages from the estate of George Sodini, 48, of Scott Township. Primis and her husband, Alex, say they filed the lawsuit Monday in Allegheny County.
Though both Primis and her baby survived the attack, she claims there is still a chance of miscarriage.
Sodini shot and killed three women and wounded nine others before taking his own life in the LA Fitness Club August 4th. He granted his $225,000 estate to the University of Pittsburgh, his alma mater, but the school refused the money.
At least two other victims have stated intent to sue Sodini’s estate.
