Food Bank To Have "Empty Bowls" Dinner

The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank is holding its 14th annual Empty Bowls dinner on Sunday March 15th to raise money and awareness for the families who are going hungry in the region. The Empty Bowls dinner is a meal of soup and bread with each person receiving a ceramic bowl for their contribution. The dinner will have autographed bowls up for auction that have been signed by Sidney Crosby, actors Tracy Morgan, Alec Baldwin, and Tina Fey as well as singer Hank Williams Jr., and Steelers coach Mike Tomlin. The ceramic bowls have been donated by local artists that include professionals and even high school students. The food bank expects at least 1,000 people to attend.
