State Launches Website To Compare Prescription Medication Prices
The Governor's Office of Health Care Reform has launched a new website that aims to better educate the public about prescription medication prices. The website, PaRxPriceFinder.com is a search engine of the 300 most prescribed medications in the state. The website allows for the user to search for their medication and compare prices at different pharmacies. Medication prices differ at many pharmacies most drastically with generic medications. Since many different manufacturers produce the generic medications the prices vary and are changed by distributors and pharmacies in an effort to make a profit. The website offers price comparisons and also provides resources for people who are having a difficult time paying for their medications and will be updated weekly to reflect changing medication prices.
