County Councilman Doesn't Want Stimulus Funding For North Shore Connector
Allegheny County Councilman Matt Drozd plans on introducing legislation to County Council that will ask congress to give the North Shore Connector project little consideration for funds. Drozd would like to see the entire project stopped and abandoned in order to save taxpayer money. Drozd would prefer the stimulus money be used solely for infrastructure needs in the region. Drozd says he does not want to see taxpayers having to foot the bill for infrastructure or a "tunnel to no-where" adding that he feels an overwhelming majority of county residents do not want to see the connector project completed.
