Casino Revenue Increases 14% in February
Pennsylvania's gaming revenue is increasing. According to statistics from February 2008 compared with statistics from February 2009 revenue increased by 14%. Not counted in those statistics are casinos that were not opened and operated during February of 2008. The 14% increase is the second largest since August showed a 16% increase. The increase can be attributed to realization of marketing and people not having to travel far to get to a casino. State Gaming Control Board Spokesman Doug Harbach said that the casinos are showing revenues above what was predicting in their license applications but expects those numbers to begin to plateau as more casinos open up in the state.
