Officers Unaware of Guns in Stanton Heights House

A Pittsburgh 9-1-1 dispatcher failed to relay important information about guns at the Stanton Heights home where 3 police officers were shot to death Saturday. Allegheny County Chief of Emergency Services says when Richard Poplawski's mother made the 9-1-1 call, she told the dispatcher that her son had guns, but she said they were legal. Chief Full said the dispatcher should have asked more questions about the weapons, but did not. Full says the gun information was not related to the police officers who went to the home responding to the domestic dispute call. Poplawski is charged with the the fatal shootings of officer Paul Sciullo, Stephen Mayhle and Eric Kelly. The 9-1-1 dispatcher has been placed on administrative leave.
