Negro Baseball League Conference To Be Held In Pittsburgh
The 12Th annual Negro Baseball League Conference will be held in Pittsburgh at the Heinz History Center from July 16Th through the 18Th. The conference will bring negro league players to the city as well as Hall of Famer Lou Brock who will provide a keynote address at the awards banquet on the final night of the conference. The conference will also attend Friday nights Pirates game at PNC Park and will take part in the dedication of Greenlee Field, which once was the home to the Pittsburgh Crawfords and the first African American-built and finance baseball stadium.
