ACORN Holds Rally In Front Of Federal Reserve Building
ACORN held a rally today in front of the federal reserve bank in downtown Pittsburgh calling for the reserve to step in and force 3 mortgage companies to join President Obama's Making Homes Affordable plan. The plan allows for homeowners to be considered for an affordable loan modification prior to being foreclosed. The 3 companies that ACORN would like to see join the plan are Litton, HomeEq, and American Home Mortgage. ACORN believes it is unfair that the mortgage companies have received federal bail out money but have not enlisted in a program designed to help keep people in their homes.
