Pittsburgh Water Limo Service Offers New Packages

Some people may be sitting in traffic before Pirate games this summer, but the Pittsburgh Water Limo and its riders will be traffic-free. The Water Limo launched its first full season of river rides to and from PNC Park this past April, and in June two new packages were added.
The Pirate ticket packages include a free ride and drink on the Pittsburgh Water Limo with the purchase of a box office price of a game ticket—the ticket must be purchased through the Water Limo Company. There are seven ticket deals, ranging from $10.00 to $52.00 for Club Sections. The seven-minute ride begins in the Strip at The Cork Factory 90 minutes before the game starts, and does four round-trips every half hour. Captain and Vice President of Operations of the Pittsburgh Water Limo, Mark Schiller, says meter and garage parking are available where the ride begins, and “free parking is available if you’re creative.” Returning rides begin after the 7th Inning Stretch. Miss Pittsburgh, the 49-passenger boat, also has a new pick up point at the Convention Center, by reservation only.
The Weekend Loop is a weekend night continuous shuttle bringing riders to and from Pittsburgh’s main river attractions: the Strip, the North Shore, and Station Square. The shuttle runs every Friday and Saturday night from 8:00 p.m. to 1:45 a.m. With a Ride All Night Pass, riders have an unlimited ride to and from any of the three locations for $8.00. If a rider only needs a single trip, the cost is $4.00. If you’re stuck somewhere downtown, a call to the “boat phone,” (412)-211-LIMO, will get you a ride from the Water Limo, as well.
Riding the Weekend Loop gives riders discounts at ten landside locations scattered throughout the Strip, Station Square, and Northshore. Riders get hand stamps that entitle them to a waiver of cover charges, and food and drink discounts.
