State Rep. Looks to Pass Budget Soon

State Representative and House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Stan Saylor (R-York) is already working to get the state budget passed before the June 30th deadline. Saylor has commissioned task forces to look at six aspects of Pennsylvania government—state spending, education and job training, energy, health care, transportation and infrastructure, and reforming state government—and how the state can save money in each of them. Saylor says Pennsylvania cannot continue to overspend as it has in the past. Since 2006, PA has upped its spending 39 percent and currently faces a deficit of $1.6 billion.
