After analyzing the firmware examination carried out by SysTest Labs and the Elections Division, Vote Allegheny and PA Verified Voting still have concerns. They say only half the software in any given machine was inspected and not enough machines were included in the sample.
The groups say the ES&S iVotronic machines used in Allegheny County provide no paper verification that votes have been correctly and accurately recorded. Richard King, President of PA Verified Voting, says it's been proven over and over again that voting machine software is easy to highjack. The groups want paper ballots that can be audited manually post election--a system they call the "gold standard" of voting integrity.
