Pittsburgh City Council met on Tuesday. A G-20 Protest ordinance they were to vote on concerning the use of obstruction equipment and possession of certain items with intent to defeat lawful dispersal orders such as PVC pipes was deferred until Wednesday so council members can have additional time to review the materials from the city and consult with the ACLU.
They unanimously gave Verizon six years to make its Fios cable service available to all city residents. They passed the law banning public urination and defeated the "concealing identity" law and passed property tax relief for those sixty years of age and older.
