A Look at the WTO Protests in Seattle and What It Could Mean for the G20 in Pittsburgh

In 1999 globalization wasn't something most people knew much about-- but the World Trade Organization Conference in Seattle and the subsequent protests thrust the issue and the city into the international spotlight. Liam Moriarty, a KPLU public radio reporter was on the ground during the chaos.

He spoke with DUQ’s Larkin Page-Jacobs about what went wrong and what it means for high profile conferences like the G20 summit heading to Pittsburgh.
