RAD Funds To Decrease In 2010
The Allegheny Regional Asset District is cutting its budget by 1% for 2010. RAD has proposed a $79.4 million budget that has only one increase in funding for its 89 assets. The Heinz History Center is the only asset to receive an increase in funding because it has taken control of the Fort Pitt Museum in Point State Park. Assets that have not received cuts in funding include parks and libraries, all other assets are receiving cuts in funding. RAD has lowered its budget because all of its revenue is from sales tax revenues and during the last year Pennsylvania has not produced as much sales tax revenue as in previous years.
